Which directory path should I use?
Use your default directory. The default (root) directory is
  • "wwwroot" directory in WebsitePanel Hosting
  • "httpdocs" in Plesk Panel Hosting
  • "public_html"in cPanel Hosting
You can create folders and sub folders in your root directory. You should place your index.htm in the root directory, remaining files can be placed in different folders/subfolder in the root directory with proper html links.
Tips:
Keep your "Hosting Account Info Doc" as a confidential document. Better to take a printout and keep it in safe custody.
