Setup Your Gmail Account as your domain e-mail

You can use gmail as a smart host to send and receive all messages of your own domain's e-mail ID. For this you need a valid gmail id and an e-mail forwarder account ( to this gmail id) under your hosting control panel. Let us see the step by step instructions for this

Create a mail forward/mail alias in your hosting control panel (In Website Panel hosting) or in Premium Mail control panel (For opting premium mail services, Plesk and Cpanel Hosting).

Sign in to your Gmail account, Click Options (gear in the top right corner), Click Settings


Now setting page appears, in that Click on "Account and Import" Tab


Go to Send mail as Section, Click on "Add another email address you own"


Add another email address you own - Popup Window appears on the screen.
    Name: Enter the required display name for the mail
    E-mail address: E-mail id that created as alias in your domain control panel
    Put a tick mark (Checked) in Treat as an alias check box
    Click the "Next Step" button

Send mail through your SMTP server? screen appears on the screen.

    Select "Send through Gmail (easier to setup)"
    Click the "Next Step" button
Verify your e-mail address screen appears on the screen.
    Click the "Send Verification" button

Confirm verification Screen.
    Enter verification code received in your inbox from Gmail Team mail-noreply@google.com
    Click the Verify button.

Now you can see the new e-mail Id under "Send mail as Section" of the "Account and Import" Tab.
    Click the 'make default' link adjacent to the new mail id.

Select "Always reply from default address (currently me@mydomain.com)
