NvuEdit pages on the fly with this fully open-source Web- authoring program. Nvu packs a punch, with integrated file management via FTP; tabbed editing; a spelling checker; in-line previewing; JavaScript editing and debugging; a CSS editor; and powerful support for forms, tables, and other standard tools. The drag-and-drop interface has large, clear icons, and its logical menus are easily accessible and can be modified to suit your needs. The bottom of the page has four tabs that give you different views of the page you're working on. One of our favorite features is the tabbed editing, which definitely makes composing and editing multiple pages a quick and virtually painless process. Nvu is still a very young program, so you might find a few features that need to be fixed or added. However, this WYSIWYG editor is definitely going in the right direction, offering all the basic editing tools and general usability features a new Web developer needs.
