What is an FTP program?
You can access an FTP connection directly using UNIX commands but you should comfortable with UNIX commands. If not, you probably use an FTP interface - Called FTP Software. You don't need to learn a lot of confusing commands, either.
There are several FTP programs such as Filezila, WS_FTP, CuteFTP, WinCommander (for Windows/UNIX), Fetch and Anarchie (for Mac OS x and OS 9).
